It was an outstanding honour for our CEO and Founder, Ehichioya Nicholas Isesele - holder of a Double MBA in Wine and Spirits Marketing and Management to serve as a jury member at the 2026 edition of the Best Value Vin de France Selection Competition. The event was organised by ANIVIN DE FRANCE, the Association de Vin de France.

About the Competition

The Best Value Vin de France Selection is one of the most respected wine evaluation competitions in France, dedicated to identifying wines that offer exceptional quality relative to their price point. It draws buyers, sommeliers, and wine professionals from across the globe to assess entries through a rigorous blind tasting process governed by the highest industry standards.

This year's competition saw remarkable engagement: 683 wines were registered, including 58 alcohol-free options, submitted by 134 participating companies. The judging process involved 48 buyers representing 18 nationalities, working across 15 tasting tables - each chaired by an Oenologue de France to ensure the integrity and precision of every evaluation

Having our founder seated at the judging table alongside buyers from 18 nationalities is a testament to the depth of expertise and international standing that NICOTAWINES brings to the Nigerian wine market. It reflects years of hands-on vineyard experience, postgraduate study in Bordeaux, and a relentless commitment to understanding wine at its source not just as a product, but as an expression of place, people, and craft.
